This place is a gem! Ordered the shrimp shiu mai, sticky rice (awesome) , shrimp steamed dumplings, sugar cane shrimp, and chinese broccoli - everything was delicious! Staff was super friendly and attentive. At the end of the strip mall with a parking lot. Restaurant is small but the line moved quickly. We will be back for sure!

Delicious dim sum and super friendly, fast service! We really enjoyed the baked bbq buns, pan fried dumplings, and the Shrimp Har Gow.

Boo boo!! This place was exactly what I was hoping for! I've been dying to try dim sum but didn't know where to start or what to eat. Luckily my friend is familiar and suggested this place. We ordered the shrimp shiu mai, spare ribs in garlic sauce, bbq pork bun, shrimp rice roll, Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce, red bean sesame ball, and lean pork porridge. Everything was delicious! It's a tiny spot and not glamorous inside but the food makes up for it. We didn't wait long and the server was nice and attentive. He didn't keep bothering us and the place is small enough that if you need something you can literally just look over and ask. Food came out pretty quick and was fresh! I'm so pleased with everything I'm going back tomorrow! lol

Got takeout from this place. We called ahead to pick up and the food was ready for us. You can really taste the quality of the dishes - definitely better than your average dim sum spot. The dumplings were plump and meaty and everything tasted good.

By far the best hole-in-a-wall dim-sum place! So many choices to choose from. I am not sure if this is a family-owned restaurant, but, the staff are so happy to serve the customers. This place gets packed, and ordering food to-go is another option. If you are a tourist, a local or just passing by the area, go and check this place out. GRADE A: The restaurant is clean and up to code.

Looking for a close Dim Sum to my friend's house, I found this hole in the wall place, which is now very favorite! Shumai was so juicy and delicious. The porridge was what I craved for and felt like home. The friendliness and welcoming staff puts the cherry on the top! Will be back!

Best dim sum! Absolutely worth the drive (from Woodland Hills) and queue We came for a late lunch (2PM) on Christmas Day, and waited about 30-40min to get our table. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly -- definitely helped pass the time and lighten the mood of people waiting outside. Wait for food was not long at all. The menu is pretty straightforward and our server was very happy to entertain any questions and give recommendations where we asked. All the dishes we ordered were They all came out nice and fresh. Generous serves for such good value. And really, probably some of the best versions of these dishes we've had. Not pictured were the sesame balls and pineapple custard buns-- also so, so good!!

A delicious alternative to all the crazy dim sum cart restaurants in Monterey Park! Hong Kong Dim Sum House is a friendly mom & pop dim sum restaurant in the same plaza as Golden Deli. No carts here, just really friendly servers serving you your dim sum dishes. We were quickly seated on a Saturday morning - there were only about 8 tables or so in there so it could fill up quick. Luckily, the wait never seemed too long. All the dim sum dishes were delicious. You could tell they took their time in making them and cared about quality over speed. My personal favorite was the shu mai and shu mai is never my favorite! But you honestly could not go wrong with any of their selections.

So, we ended up here because we tried to AYCE dim sum and they refused to let us on the list, saying we would keep them working longer. Since we were all craving dim sum, we Yelped and found this spot close by. First, service was super friendly! And it seemed like they had a few set regulars, which set all our minds at ease. Second, they had all the basics, which was exactly what we were looking for. And it was all yummy. Lastly, the price basically worked out to what we would have paid for AYCE and we were stuffed and left with leftovers.

I met up with some friends at Hong Kong Dim Sum House to catch up. We didn't realize the restaurant is extremely small with limited seating so the wait time was a lot longer than anticipated. We waited over an hour. If you have time to spare and hunger did not strike you yet, the time will fly by. While waiting, I noticed a lot of people ordered food to go which is another option if you are short on time. Ordering was really easy by marking up the menu. The food came out relatively quickly and was hot and fresh as well. We left full and satisfied.
